Tater (ポテトくん) is a Ham-Ham who appears in some of the Japanese episodes. He owns a burger stand where he sells Sunflower Seed Burgers. He has a crush on Malta.

Trivia[]

Tater, alongside Malta, were seemingly created to promote the Hamtaro Happy Meal Toys in Japan, which released on the same day as their debut episode (July 25th, 2003). Both characters returned in the subsequent '04 and '05 Happy Meal promotions.
- The Happy Meal toys of Tater give him a slightly different design; the sunflower on his shirt and hat are replaced with the yellow "M" of McDonald's.
While he never had any appearances in the English dub, his English name is revealed to be Tater by several sources, such as various Singaporean promotions and his card in Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Games.
