Hamtaro Nazo Nazo Q (とっとこハム太郎 ナゾナゾQ 雲の上の？城) is a Hamtaro game released for the Nintendo DS. It was released in Japan on December 1st, 2005, and has not been released in any other region.

Gameplay[]
There are 2 main parts of the game, exploring the world, and solving riddles.
Exploration[]
Like the games before it, the player controls Hamtaro and talks to other hamsters to gather information. Hamtaro can talk to Nande to answer questions, Skyham to get to the castle in the clouds, and others for more information.
Since the game is controlled entirely by the touch screen, all the player has to do is tap where they want Hamtaro to go, and he will move there on his own. You can tap Sunflower Seeds to pick them up, and so on. You can also buy accessories for Hamtaro's room, like beds and bookshelves.
Quizzes[]
The core of the game is answering questions from the book. On each page of the book are 4 sets of questions. Each set contains 5 questions, 4 of which are chosen at random to be answered. Once all 4 have been answered, that set is marked as cleared, and you can choose any of the 5 questions to play at random.
A question will be displayed on the top screen, along with the time left (out of 180 seconds). On the bottom screen are three possible choices. Only one character from each answer is displayed, the rest are covered with pink circles. The goal is to answer the question correctly without uncovering any spaces and without using the Hint Seed.
The player can tap on one of the pink covered spaces to reveal the character underneath. Tapping the Hint Seed will cause Nande to give you a hint towards the correct answer.
If none of the spaces are uncovered, the player is rewarded with a gold medal for that question. Further, if the hint isn't used, you will also get a random amount of Sunflower Seeds (Usually 5 or 10).
Multiplayer[]
Hamtaro Nazo Nazo Q also has multiplayer capabilities using DS Wireless Communications. 2 modes are available; Multi-Card and Single-Card. Multi-Card mode requires that all players have a copy of the game, while Single-Card mode only requires one copy of the game, the other players will used DS Download Play to play.
Multiplayer play consists of answering questions, just like in the single player mode. However, players are ranked depending on how long it takes them to answer, as well as if they uncovered any spaces.

- The game is registered in the U.S. Copyright Office as "Hamtaro: Riddle Q". This implies an English overseas version was planned at some point, but ultimately was never released.
